Some Notes on the 2002 High School Wrestling State Championships
held February 8th & 9th at the Bangor Auditorium

Concessions!  Again this year, WHAT WERE THEY THINKING!  You were not allowed to bring food into the building, yet they expected these athletes, in the biggest tournament of the year, and maybe their career, to eat hotdogs and/or nachos.

And again, money talks.  My son and his friend weren't allowed to bring their apple juice into the building on Saturday morning.  I saw others being told that they would have to drink or dump their coffee.  You can't bring in food or drink and you can't buy any healthy food there.  Just overpriced junk food and the ching, ching, ching of the cash register.

Finally, Congratulations to ALL wrestlers.  To the Champions: Represent well the Great State of Maine at the New Englands.  See you there!
